This is an old school story, but still hilarious!

Corpus Christi Police Destroyed 400 "Pot Plants" Only to Discover it Wasn't Actually Marijuana

What was first thought to be one of the largest marijuana seizures in the Corpus Christi, Texas Police Departments history turned into an embarrassing incident for the cops, as the clueless officers spent a busy and exciting evening harvesting hundreds of horse mint plant from a city park.

The police hauled away 400 medium-sized plants that they believed was marijuana.

After spending more than an hour removing and tagging hundreds of plants, and then hauling it all to the police department downtown, testing revealed that none of it was marijuana at all. It was just a fairly common type of weed known as horse mint.
