Norway Sinks Its Own Warship By Accident… Twice
On Nov. 8th the frigates captain drove the vessel up on underwater rocks to prevent it from sinking after hitting a slow-moving 150,000-ton tanker.
The military tried to move the 5,500-ton warship afterwards, but the attempt to save the ship went massively wrong after cables attached to hold it in place snapped.
Now all that remains above the waterline is the frigate’s top, antennas and radar.
A Norwegian warship is in bad shape after a nighttime collision with a civilian vessel. The captain of the frigate HNoMS Helge Ingstad deliberately ran it aground after the collision, allegedly to prevent her from sinking.
