At a news conference carried live on Wood Radio this morning, Wyoming Police Chief James Carmody identified the man who he said murdered Charlie Openneer and Brooke Slocum this week.  He was 31 year old Brady Oestrike of Wyoming.

During the investigation into Slocum's disapearance police found his name on her computer.   She had contacted him through Craig's List.  The chief  would not comment on a report she was looking for a man in the personals section.

After high speed chase last night, Oestrike crashed his car and shot himself in the head.   Slocum's body was found in the trunk of his yellow Chevy Cobalt.

Chief Carmody was unable to identify a motive in the murders, and said the department would probably have no more details to share until next Tuesday.

Her body was found in the trunk of a car that crashed during a high speed police chase in Wyoming last night.

Her boyfriend, Charles Oppenneer is the man found dead, murdered, in some woods off Gezon Parkway in Wyoming earlier this week.

It was only then officers found the body of Brooke Slocum in the cars trunk.

Detectives spent the night working the crime scene and a news conference is planned in Wyoming at ten this morning.
