The National Weather Service's expert on springtime flooding tells the Ottawa County Emergency Management meeting that some parts of the county have a 90 percent chance for flooding this spring.

And Mark Walton is talking about relatively minor flooding. He tells WOOD TV that the forecast will change dramatically if we get suddenly warm temperatures, or a long spell rainy weather.

Last April's flooding, by comparison, was major.

Meteorologists have noted that big floods seem to come in pairs in West Michigan and would NOT be surprised to see another big one this year.
