The former owner of a Grand Rapids marijuana dispensary that was raided earlier this year has been sentenced for a drug charge.

David Overholt, founder and director of Mid-Michigan Compassion Club in Grand Rapids and founder of the Montcalm County Compassion Club, was sentenced Thursday to two years of probation, 150 hours of community service and a six-month license suspension.

WOOD TV reports Overholt was charged in April with maintaining a drug house and two counts related to delivering and manufacturing drugs after his medical marijuana dispensary was raided in March.

Overholt's no contest plea was conditional pending an appeal in the Court of Appeals. That appeal has not yet been filed.
