The Palisades nuclear power plant near South Haven has developed another leak.

This time, reportedly, it is non-radioactive water leaking from the reactor's cooling system and the plant is still running.

The Holland Sentinel says the Nuclear Regulatory Commission announced that leak Tuesday night during a webinar on the safety of the plant.

It has only been a month since Palisades was re-energized after a six week shutdown for a bigger leak.

The NRC says this one is not a threat to the public.  The amount is small, about one cup of nonradioactive water seeps out every hour.

The NRC did NOT say if the source of the leak has been found yet, but does say it must be repaired.
