Two West Michigan state lawmakers have ideas for new laws that will be discussed in Lansing this week.

State Representative Amanda Price wants to allow companies to advertise when hiring strike-breakers, but the Holland Sentinel says that her House Bill 4642 would not allow those to be hired from out-of-state.

Representative Joe Haveman, in HB 4624, wants to stop cities like Grand Rapids which, he says, have told their firefighters they may not moonlight at another fire department. Haveman reportely thinks that violates our state's emphasis on coommunity cooperation.
