On a vote of 65 to 43, the Michigan State House thumbed it’s nose  Wednesday at the petitions signed by hundreds of thousands of Michiganders and voted to allow a trophy wolf hunt in the UP this fall.  It is the 4th time in two years the House has voted to override public demands for a referendum.  A supporter of the hunt, Mike Leonard, said citizens are not well informed enough to make this kind of decision.
