Lakeshore Congressman Bill Huizenga followed-up his mission to liberate a hundred World War Two veterans who wanted to visit a monument in a federal park Tuesday, with a letter to the head of the Park Service.
Huizenga wrote that he hoped the decision to spend money on blocking off an open-air park "was not politically motivated."
Huizenga supports a separate budget bill to pay for the Park Service.
Although he acknowledges the White House has said that is "not a serious approach" to paying for government, he allled it "tangible" action.
