The second round of the Meijer LPGA Classic teed-off this morning at Blythefield Country Club in Belmont.
South Korean Inbee Park maintained her early lead with 10 under par. Gerina Piller, from the United States is in the top 10 with 4 below par. She is trailed by 4 more Americans who are all tied for fourteenth place with 3 below. British Open champ Mo Martin pulled out of the tournament this morning before her tee time. She is the second to do so after Michele Wie left the tournament yesterday with a hand injury.
More than 120 women also participated in the Meijer LPGA Ladies Day today with LPGA players Laura Diaz and Morgan Pressel. Diaz and Pressel joined a panel discussion regarding empowering women. The group also enjoyed a walking clinic with professionals Azahara Munoz and Brittany Lang who shared a few golf pointers and tips and argyle-themed activities.
The four-day competition will continue through the weekend, and The Golf Channel will be covering the LPGA's return to Michigan with live coverage.
