Grand Rapids gets ready to laugh next spring and just this morning Gilda’s Club announced that Lily Tomlin brings her one-woman show to LaughFest on March 10th.
She is a native of Detroit but has never performed in Grand Rapids.
"Through this partnership with Broadway Grand Rapids, we’ve been able to secure an exciting new act in Lily Tomlin," said Wendy Wigger, president of Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids and LaughFest.
"We look forward to this morning’s event where we’ll get to share many more great shows that are lined up for LaughFest 2014.
"Designed to celebrate laughter for the health of it, LaughFest includes free and ticketed events including stand-up, improv, film, authors, community showcases and a variety of seriously funny stuff."
The rest of the 2014 performers announced Tuesday morning include Jay Leno, on the schedule for the Signature Event. LaughFest veterans Jim Gaffigan and Sinbad will return with new material.
