A state government oversight agency says the Kent County Children's Protective Service violated some rules in a recent domestic abuse case.
WOOD TV reports that the government does not say which rules were broken, but does say that, in future cases, any suspected abuse case must be referred to the County Prosecutor.
It says, too, that alleged victims of abuse should be interviewed away from the suspect.
This all comes from the death of a 2 year old girl last summer in Grand Rapids. The toddler's father has been charged with murder.
