Michigan US Senator Debbie Stabenow meets with conservation groups at the Cabela's store in Grandville at 10:30 this morning to encourage more action against the threat of Asian Carp invading the Great Lakes.

She said the eight proposals the government outlined last week "are not yet developed enough to allow work on those projects to begin."

The groups hope to encourage more public comment on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' proposals to address the threat.
